Climate, Community, Creativity
19th International °®¶¹app Conference
Los Angeles | March 17-22, 2026
Join us for this remarkable once-in-a-career opportunity to engage with peers from across the globe focused on preserving Modern architecture and design.
The biennial International °®¶¹app Conference is headed stateside for only the second time since the founding of °®¶¹app, bringing together members and colleagues from around the world for an in-depth exploration of global issues and new ideas about the future built environment, as it relates to the Modern Movement. Attendees can look forward to exciting venues, rigorous academic sessions, networking opportunities, social events, and the °®¶¹app tours you know and love.
More than 150 experts and scholars from across the globe will convene in Los Angeles to explore the pluralistic nature of the 20th century global Modern Movement, examining how climate, community, and creativity have shaped and continue to shape the built environment. Two conference-wide roundtables will give attendees the chance to further engage on topics of Late Modern Advocacy and Digitization/Digital Documentation.
The conference is designed to foster meaningful dialogue and exchange, creating space for conversation across disciplines, generations, and geographic contexts. These connections are essential to strengthening the global community engaged in understanding, conserving, and reimagining modern heritage.
